Minerals Inc. (TSX:HBM) (HudBay), today announced the appointment of
Brad Lantz as Vice President, Mining, following the decision of Russell
Rood, President, Mining Division, to retire later this summer.
Mr.
Lantz, a graduate of University of Waterloo, Honours Earth Sciences,
has held several technical, operational and managerial roles since 1984
at HudBay's Ruttan, Trout Lake and Callinan Mines. He has been the
Manager of the new 777 Mine since 2003, through its successful project
and production phases.
"We are pleased to have Brad join our
senior team. I am confident that his experience and vision will
contribute to HudBay's ongoing successful growth," said Mr. Jones.
He
went on to say, "We thank Russell for his many years of outstanding
service and the success he has contributed to HudBay as a member of the
senior team. We wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement."
Mr. Lantz will now be transitioning into his new position, which will be effective upon the retirement of Mr. Rood.
