Hudbay stands apart, unique among its peers for its proven ability to discover, finance, build and operate low-cost, long-life cash-generating assets.

Hudbay is a low-cost, diversified metals producer with a long track record of value creation for our shareholders and community partners.

We are unique among our peers for our proven ability to discover, finance, build and operate low-cost, long-life cash-generating assets. We have a robust portfolio of mines and projects focused on copper in mining-friendly, investment-grade jurisdictions. These include the Constancia mine in Peru, the Copper Mountain mine in British Columbia, the Lalor mine in Manitoba and the Copper World, Cactus and Mason projects in the United States. Hudbay, a responsible, top-tier operator with growing exposure to copper, is well placed to take advantage of the favourable long-term supply-demand fundamentals for copper.

consistent strategy

Clear, Disciplined Growth Strategy

Hudbay’s plans for future growth are guided by a consistent and successful set of criteria that illuminates our path forward. The growth opportunities we pursue must meet strategic criteria that define a truly valuable copper asset: low-cost, long-life and meaningful scale potential, situated in mining-friendly jurisdictions and capable of delivering per share appreciation. Hudbay implemented a holistic capital allocation framework to maintain strong financial discipline, deliver growth initiatives and maximize long-term risk-adjusted returns.

With our Copper World project, the final investment decision to proceed with the development is fully aligned with Hudbay’s capital allocation framework. In 2022, the company developed the 3-P plan, three prerequisites (“3-P”) plan for Copper World that included a prudent financial strategy and balance sheet targets that would need to be achieved prior to a final investment decision. The Company successfully completed all of the key elements of the 3-P plan with the completion of the joint venture transaction with Mitsubishi, the enhanced precious metals stream agreement with Wheaton and the achievement of stated balance sheet targets well ahead of schedule.

Hudbay’s focus is on copper, and our foundation is built on financial strength, driven by efficient operations, exploration, project development and sustainability excellence.

Planning for the Future

Hudbay is poised for growth in all our operating regions.

In Peru, we are evaluating the potential to increase mill throughput at Constancia by installing a pebble crusher. We aim to advance plans for drilling the prospective Maria Reyna and Caballito properties near Constancia.

In Manitoba, we will continue to execute our extensive exploration program on the large land package in Snow Lake, targeting discoveries to utilize excess capacity at the Stall mill while further enhancing production. We will advance economic studies for reprocessing tailings at Flin Flon, while exploring for viable deposits within trucking distance of the Flin Flon processing facilities as part of our exploration partnership with Marubeni.

In Arizona, Hudbay and Mitsubishi approved the construction of the Copper World project in October 2026, advancing the next major U.S. copper mine towards first production in 2029. Our recent acquisition of the Cactus project brings together two highly complementary assets in Arizona and solidifies our position as a premier Americas-focused copper producer with a pipeline of long-life, low-cost assets in tier-one jurisdictions.
